Hearing and Seeing

nowadays, 3G technology is common on cellular phones. 3G allows cell phones users to talk to and see each other through our screens on their mobile. phones.
did you know that it was a Filipino scientist who made the first videophone? Dr. Gregorio Y. Zara invented the two-way television telephone or videophone in 1955. Dr. ZAra also invented an airplane engine that ran on alcohol instead of fuel. He successfully tested and flew his alcohol-fuelled airplane engine at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in September 1954.

Dr. Zara invented more: new designs for solar water heater, sun stove, solar batttery, and a microscope with adjustable stage. He also helped in designing a robot called Marex X.

For his important contributions to science, Dr. Zara was awarded in 1966 the Presidential Gold Medal and Diploma of Honor for Science and REsearch, and the Cultural Heritage AWards for Science Education and Aero Engineering.

WOw Filipinos are really talented and hes one of the the great that we have to be proud of.
